After years of experience in the intercom field, ALTAIRAltair High-end , robuust en betrouwbaar merk voor intercoms launched the “EF-204” base station as an all-in-one solution for those professionals requiring both ease of use, versatility and multiple channel operation. The power supply in this master station will power every device connected to the intercom network (up to 60 single channel beltpacks or 20 desk stations). In case of short circuit at any point of the line the unit will shut down, with an instantaneous recovery after the problem is fixed.
The four channels are provided with independent “TALK”, “LISTEN”, and “CALL” buttons. Link between channels can be selected using the front panel buttons.
Thanks to its built-in digital processor, every ALTAIR device (E-200 Series) can be remotely controlled from a base station. This system allows the user at the main base station to execute different functions that will affect all the devices in the network, such as “MIC KILL”, remote buzzer switch-off, latch or PTT mic switching, etc. These functions are specially useful when working in silent environments where acoustic calls are not an option. In this case we will use the luminous “CALL” function.
The station incorporates a program input (mic/line) with level attenuator assignable to any of the four channels and mic output to address messages to the P.A. from the headset operator. Also, relay contacts are provided, being these associated to the “PA” button in order to help the installer automate multiple tasks (“tally”, speaker switching, cue lights,etc.)
EF-204 can be used as a main station to control and power all the intercom system or as a desk remote console in complex multichannel installations.
A section of four key buttons allows the user to store different presets for quick and easy recall. The parameters that can be stored in these presets include all possible states of the “TALK”, “LISTEN” and “CALL” buttons.
The front panel includes a removable gooseneck microphone (provided with the unit), headset connector and a built-in high efficiency speaker.

The ALTAIR E-200 series incorporate a microcontroller to implement different task as mic-killer, remote all buzzers switch off, mic switch latch or push to talk, program interrupt, etc. Remote all mics switch off helps the operator to maintain a lower noise conversation in noisy environments, very useful when silence is required. Also implemented is the remote All Buzzers switch-off feature to avoid undesired audible CALL signalling during performances.

All the components in the system incorporate a microcontroller to implement different tasks as Mic Killer, Remote all Buzzer switch-off, Mic Switch Latch or Push To Talk, Program Interrupt, etc.

Remote All Mic switch-off helps the operator to maintain a lower noise conversation in noisy environments. Also implemented is the remote All Buzzers switch-off feature to avoid undesired audible CALL signalling during performances.

The Master Station unit powers all the System components and incorporates new special features as System Expandability or Battery Operation.

System Expandability permits creating a multichannel (4, 6, or more channels) Intercom System by using more Master Stations in a daisy chain arrangement. This feature enables freedom in the System design and in-site future upgrades. Rental companies can benefit with lower component inventories.

Our new internal Battery operation permits short-time communications in difficult situations (= no Power) of emergency.

 

The ALTAIR EF-204, wired intercom base station, is housed in a standard 1U high enclosure and incorporates a power supply capable of powering the entire intercom system. It has 4 independent channels A, B, C and D, that are easily linked by the programmable LINK function.
The power supply has the capacity to power up to 60 EM-201 beltpacks or 20 ES-200 desktop units. All elements of the system incorporate a microcontroller to implement various functions such as remote mute, PTT “Push to talk” (momentary or locking) and conditional interruption of the program, among other functions.
It has remote mute of all microphones in the system, as well as remote shutdown of audible buzzers to operate in public environments, allowing the luminous “CALL” function.
The station can be used as a single central station or as a remote desktop station for complex multi-station multi-channel installations. The unit has “TALK” (open microphone), “LISTEN” keys, with individual adjustment of the listening level and “CALL” key per channel.
In addition, a block of 4 programmable keys allows to establish groups of communication with direct access.
The EF-204 base station has program input (mic/line) with volume control and send to the assigned channels, as well as microphone output to send indications and announcements by public address (P.A.) with activation of multipurpose relay.
The front panel incorporates a high-efficiency speaker, a gooseneck microphone connector and a headset jack.
